Had a few beers last night at the pub/motel place where the Chiefs were staying. Big fuckers. A couple of my mates got photos with Sonny.

I can't stand the prick.

muffler packing

the klr had been getting a little brappy so I pulled the muffler to bits today and hey nonny no - 90% of the packing I put in 10k km or so ago has vanished.

Glen had some cheapy torpedo7 2 stroke muffler packing he didnt want so I threw it in and put it all together.

Will 2 stroke packing last/work in a high performance 4 stroke like the klr?
If not what is a good brand to use?.

You mean that drain pipe you call a exhaust is actually surposed to have some packing?

I have No idea on what is the best sort of packing for a highly tunned beast like your KLR.

now that is really offensive - I am deeply hurt
actually it seemed just as loud after I repacked it so maybe there is a grain of truth in the 'drain pipe' comment

now isnt this so cool

the idea of an underpowered cafer racer that you can safely thrash the living snot out of really appeals to me.

Reading somewhere - maybe KB- about the next fad being chinese 50cc cafe racers. Like the influx of petrol scooters, then mini choppers, then DRs.
