Custom Made Jewelry

Custom made, as in:

cus·tom–made

adjective \ˈkəs-tə(m)-ˈmād\
: made to fit the needs or requirements of a particular person

I've posted pictures of some of my jewelry in the Shiny Things forum under the Show us something you made thread. Folks asked whether I sell my pieces, and the short answer is yes. Usually as soon as I make it, so I don't have much of anything to show right now.
But here are some examples of my work.

But,

But I do work commissions. The pictures will give you some idea of what I do. I work mostly in silver, because it's affordable, but gold is no problem either. The top photo shows the wedding set I made from white gold for my wife for our 25th anniversary.
Anyway, PM me if you're looking for something special for that someone special. Corny, I know...

Alex made an item for my girlfriend and it showed up Christmas eve and looks better than the pictures he showed me. I'll post pics after she gets it. Great work.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm just glad it got there in time, and I really hope your girlfriend likes the heart.

Merry Christmas,

Alex

Valentine's Day Heart

Had several commisions, so I thought I'd share the process of how it comes about.
This is a heart I made, designed with input from the customer.
The large, open heart is sterling silver while the smaller heart is 14k yellow gold, the bail is gold as well.
As you can see the original sketch was two open hearts but I really like the impact the solid gold heart makes. Talked it over with the customer, sent him the photo and he gave the go ahead.
Due to me trying to cut my right index finger off with a table saw about 3 weeks ago this took a little longer than normal. I got about three hours in it from start to finish. Should only have taken about two.

Here is the initial sketch, transferred to silver, with the pilot hole to cut out what I don't need.

Followed by cutting it out:

Then the yellow gold heart is attached to the silver:

And the final product:

This is obviously the Cliff's Notes version but you get the idea.

Do you have any experience with elk ivories? I want to make my wife something with the ivories from my first elk, but don't really have any ideas. She mentioned a bracelet and necklace.

So if I understand the info from Google correctly, they are Elk teeth ?
From the pictures I've seen they almost look like cabochons, so the should be relatively easy to set in bezel mounts.

Can you send me some pictures so I have a better idea ? Maybe with a ruler next to them to get some idea of scale.
I'll try anything, I usually work in silver, can work in gold if your taste and budget go in that direction.
