I would also prefer to ride sweep or be part of a second group. I would rather add an hour to the day than deal with the hustle and bustle (or hurry up and wait) of a large group.

I'll ride in the slow and "enjoyable"....sweeper group. Yeah, I have plowed ahead with the fast group, tearin shit up......but I have learned to slow down and enjoy the scenes and experiences.

We have one of these cabins full, but if any of you want to combine up and do a second or even a third cabin.....make your own reservations. Its really nice that they can keep watch of our vehicles for $3 a day....to boot.

This is a great solution for Thursday night......and for anyone wanting to securely leave their haul rig.

In our cabin is.....

Mac
ScramblerDavis
LarkBRP
Blbiker56
Big_John

Maybe SgtMarty and LaurieD

Send Mac a PM if you are interested and he will hook you up with the owner.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For about $75 total, including tax and a discount:
22-25 March
- Truck/Trailer parking in RV storage lot. ($3/day, plus tax)

22 March
- Cabin, with rough service (no bedding) ($45/day, plus tax plus $2/day person over 2 EA)
- 4 beds - 1 double, 3 singles (2 are bunks)
- coffee in office
- free showers

There are about 3 more cabins and 2 (maybe 3) more parking spaces (truck/trailer).

Anyone else who wants this deal can contact me, and I'll refer them into the owner who can set them up.

Location is 1/4 mile off I-70 at exit 19 in Fruita.

Sounds like a great trip. I'd like to join if I can make the schedule work. Would trailer my 525exc to GJ. Have 3.1 gallons but would maybe carry a couple extra liters just in case. Camping gear in a Giant Loop.

Bitter Creek camp ground. Nice spot, no creek. And watch out in the middle of the night, you may not see the ledge, it's at 1000 ft drop, right on the edge of the camp ground, no guard rail etc. It's off the Westwater Exit.

It is 60-70 miles to Dewey Bridge, but due to the terrain easily 100 miles of fuel.

You can check it out on this site which allows you to download straight to your Garmin and download it into whatever format. You can also easily create tracks; I like it more than MapSource.

To get a nice Topo Map >> open URL above >>Fullscreen on the right >> On Fullscreen open "deck of stacked cards" on right >> select opencyclemap
