shameless bump for HONDA!

I bought a basket case and wrenched on it.....

Put it back together, added some used track plastics, and CCS raced it

Ok I will bite.

Here is a pic of me on my 71 sl350 in the last NORRA race.

1st out of 1 in our class and 20th overall, most of which were modern bikes.

My humble step-thru is all I need on an island that is 20 km wide and 50 km long. I have also crossed the Sarasin Bridge and ventured up to 200 km away in neighbouring provinces.

I picked it up for 15,000 baht ($US 500) as an ex-rental. I had the rings and bearings done at 180,000 km, which set me back 4,000 baht ($US 130). Now at 215,000 km (133,000 miles) it is still running well, and getting about 2.2 l/100 km (105 miles per US gallon). It should be good for a few more years.

I started riding on a CT90 back in the mid '60s. Five of the seven motorcycles I have owned over the years have been Hondas, but not out of any loyalty to the brand. They just happened to fit my needs and budget, and were available when I needed a bike. I have just kept up the routine maintenance, and have had a good run out of them all.

I bought this in Japan in 1966.

I brought it back aboard the USS Kennebec. I road this on the cargo deck
one Sunday while we were in the Gulf of Tonkin, with the Captains OK
