I have my KLR tore apart right now.....here is your hook on my BMW G650GS. I had a mount for a fuel bottle on the rear pannier so I just ziptied it to that.....works great. ![]()

Meant to post up the specs last night, but slipped my mind. Here is a little overall drawing of the hook.

No, it wouldn't stop someone who was determined to walk off with your lid, but it would be a deterent. And in that case, I would substitute a small metal hose clamp for one of the three zip ties as well. Maybe for the center slot position... Just my thoughts... ----- The other solution would be to get one of those 1/8" diameter nylon covered cables that are sold and loop it through the chin bar and around the fork or frame and then lock it. I have one that I can run through the sleeve of my riding jacket for leaving on the bike like that.

Stickers!!
I'm going to look into adding a through hole on the part to toss a little lock on there. The original concept with the Helmet-Hook was to make holding\securing the helmet extremely quick, convenient, and easy. Locking the helmet to the bike was on the lower end of the priority list, but hey I'm always up for modifying\improving things. I'll see what it takes to do before I run some more parts.
Also, all future orders will come with some new stickers. I'll see if I can get some out to those of you who have already ordered. ![]() Thanks again everyone! Andrew

On my FZ6 it think it would fit/work on the rear peg support. YMMV

I hope everyone is out enjoying the great weather we've been having. I got to spend a long weekend in the UP with some great riding friends. Helmet-Hooks proved to be a great asset when we stopped on the side of trails for a break. No worrying about if any critters crawled into our helmets on us
Also great to not keep our helmets on the hot asphalt when stopped in for lunch, or while filling up with fuel in town.![]() I've also found some better zip-ties for the hooks. They are a bit less bulky than the previous ones I had. The last ones were rated at 150# each, so just a bit over-kill for the situation. Andrew
