Yeah exactly what I was thinking. I bought one of those just after I saw yours. I hate leaving the GS at home, but I do think the KLR is the rigth call for this.

I am thinking I need to get a trailer for the GS to put the KLR ond pull it to ADV Campouts.

I'm in too. The first year was fun and I'm tired of missing it due to the BTR ride always being the same weekend. Besides, I have plenty of BTR roll charts from past events.

How many people want to ride vintage - small displacement bikes? How many people want to see an overweight gentleman flog a 1974 xl175 through each day alone, while accumulating tickets for a lack of inspection and no headlight?
