It's simple to open a track in Mapsource and highlight a point, hit the delete button and hold it down.

I find that a lot of time, I can delete 50% or more of the points and still have plenty of track to find the way.

As long as I still have the start, the middle, and the end point, I'm good.

If anyone wants to be in the Hell On Wheels group, please let me know by Thursday so I can shuffle the groups. I will make the final adjustments on Thursday at 7 PM, so get your requests in now!

A couple of details I want to toss out.

Ride groups - I am thinking these can change on the fly on Sat morning. I would like to hang with Shunka and/or Macadamia.

Saturday night eats - Idyllwild has nice places to eat or get carry out, I would prefer that over a Mountain House freeze dried option. Unless someone is planning a big on site BBQ or something?

Sunday AM eats - I have a feeling that people will want to get started early, and breakfast in town will eat into that schedule (no pun intended. OK, I guess maybe it was), so a breakfast at camp seems best. This just be up to the individual ride groups.

Sunday afternoon wrap up - For us from the OC, it looks like breaking off a little early is a good idea, it just avoids more out and back slab. We could depart at the 79 to Ortega, or take the 76 all the way to the 5.

A nice full moon street ride down and back would be to Morongo for a steak...

Sunday breakfast = oatmeal and coffee a la Jetboil.

And I too plan on bailing Sunday at the 79 north of Warner Springs, otherwise it'll just be out and back on the 14th leg for me too.

I'm sure no one cares what group you ride in, Blake is just trying to keep it manageable by assembling smaller groups. Just make sure what ever group you start in you finish in or let them know so we don't waste riding time looking for someone that is not lost.

I just called the campground and they do not have community gas grills like Butterfield did. So much for my Filet Mignon and shimp idea...There are charcoal BBQ's at each site but I may eat in town keeping in mind once the drinking starts it's time to stay put. I plan on eating at camp in the AM.

Like I said I'm flexible. Moderate group anywhere, slower group I'd prefer to ride sweep so I can tortoise/hare it. Put me where you need me Blake.

If there is a steak run Saturday night, count me in. Jet boil breakfast in the am. Will see on departure points on Sunday.

I'm flexible, but I need a baseline. As long as riders check out with their assigned group and check in with the new group, everything will be good.

The goal is for everyone to have a good time.
