1986 xr250
Husband of a neighborhood couple passed away. The wife is selling his motorcycles.
One is an 1986 XR250 that the wife would like to get rid of. She is certain the bike hasn't ran in 5 years and honestly doesn't know anything about what her husband did or didn't do to it, other than he was working on getting it running again. Bike looks complete and is in very used but not necessarily beat condition. My 15 year old is looking for an old dirt bike to fix up. A. What might be an appropriate price to pay for such a bike. B. Any niggles to think about with this vintage of XR? I have visions of my son getting frustrated trying to hot start the bike after flopping it over. With the KLX's we've gotten pretty used to that magic start button.

Pics would help. If it is in good clean condition other than not running I would go 150 to 300 on it. If it's rough I'd pay 50 to 100.
