As far as Pazcuaro, I got the same feeling as you, but there were a lot of tourist when we were there, on our way back from Paricutin. Had some fish, but it was pez blanco, not the trout. That and baby fish gorditas, delish.

Pics in Teatro Juarez : Hell no , I invested the 30$ I didn't pay to take pics in a few beers

Pez Blanco : Memories of our Peten and Laguna Petexbatun came to my mind

Charales have something in comon with the Chapulines : They taste best , with a few cold chelas

Yesterday we left Guanajuato for San Miguel de Allende , via the scenic route passing through Dolores Hidalgo , La cuna de la Independencia de Mexico, the crib of Mexican Independency
Leaving Guanajuato through the tunnels was fun

Dolores Hidalgo is where Padre Hidalgo yelled for the first time :VIVA MEXICO !!!! Since then every Mexican President comes to Dolores Hidalgo at least once to repeat the scream









On our way into San Miguel we hit heavy traffic

Lodging in Guanajuato has two problems : First you have to find your place and that’s not as easy as it seems with all the tunnels and pedestrian areas , and second you need to find a place for your bike . Most of the affordable places don’t have parking and sometimes not even access by bike.
We found this B&B http://www.maggichome.com/ It is very easy to find and it also has safe indoor parking . It is in walking distance from the Centro Historico , has a kitchen and the family running the place is really nice . If you like Mariachi , the oldest son is the third generation Mariachi in the family and he loves to show what he can do .
