We did not go to Grand Junction;we went from Moab south on 191 to Cortez and Mesa Verde and from there to Durango.
From here we will work our way north and then east to Colorado springs where I will get my bike service done on Tuesday .

Today actually just relaxed here in Durango and we went for a short ride out to lake Vallecito.
Tomorrow we are off to Gunnison or some other place on the road to Colorado Springs.

Sounds good. Maybe we can get of few other locals to come out? I'm thinking Phantom Canyon or Brewer's Republic (both in downtown Colo Sprgs). Let me know when you get closer how the time frame is looking so we can firm up a location and time.

Great, we will arrive Monday evening , Tuesday morning I'll have to bring my bike to the shop for service, so I guess we will be there until Wednesday morning.

My mother and the Million $ Highway

Today I got to ride the Million $ Highway and today is also the 15th anniversary of the departure of my mother for her last ride . My passion for riding must be in my genes , my parents used to ride all over Europe on a Vespa over 50 years ago . So this ride today , all the great curves, the amazing views were for you Mom ! I love you and I miss you!!!!

My mother on her honeymoon

And I think that my bike is overloaded…

We left Durango in the morning and had incredible views all along the way to Montrose ,where we stopped at a Mexican restaurant and had some nice pollo asado

After lunch we kept on riding to Gunnison, not as impressive as the morning ride but still great

Thank you for sharing this fantastic ride. ....took all afternoon to catch up - but well worth it.

Beautiful shots - even better looking riders!
