on another note, when will you be back home? as i'll be in Guatemala in about a month riding south, staying for a month for language school in Antigua, as long as the Volcano that went off today isn't still an issue...be good to meet up for a beer

check my ride report to see where i am - rtwpaul
Thx for the Picassa tip, I used Iphoto and it seems to be working.
I'm travelling slow,in a month I will still be far from Guatemala . Let me know when you are there and I set you up with some locals for that beer

It will be a big change without Luisa :( Lots of friends up there though to keep you company! Though somewhat wish I was there with you to fill the roll.

Cracking pics from Mt Hoooood...and the waterfall bridge shot is a corker!

Take it easy Julio.

Don't trust all those apple trees
Glad you liked the pics, at least I hope that's what being a corker means...Bloody island slang
Ride safe

Thumb Riding with my daughter

The last few days I have been riding and hiking along the Oregon coast with my daughter
What an incredible experience , what a privilege !!
It was really great to be able to share what has been my daily live for the last 7 month with one of my kids . I always had their approval and understanding for what I'm doing , but to see all this on her face and hearing her admiration for my new life from her mouth, was something different .
Once again the Gods were friendly and blessed us with great wether , that made these few days even mor enjoyable .
Too bad she has to fly back to Kansas City today where she was doing an internship for the last 6 weeks, before getting back to university in Europe.

Here some of the 7 million pics we took over the last few days .

Hasta la proxima mi hija , te quiero mucho !!!

Laugh Seals got us in problems

The other day , walking around on the beach with my daughter and my friends Ed and Yuriko , we lost track of time and everything else observing and enjoying so much beauty . It was low tide and we walked out on some sandbanks, when all of a sudden a few seals appeared and we started watching them while they were playing around

While we were watching the seals with our back turned to the beach, the tide started coming in and the shallow water between the sandbank and the beach was not that shallow anymore

There was no other way back , then crossing the water and enjoying the nice water temperature

Amazing

Great stuff!! I really like the pictures!

I know how much the time you spent together meant to each of you and there is nothing in this world that can take that from either of you!! I have said this before but you are creating dreams for my future. I can only dream of sharing such a special time with my daughters in the future!!

Thats funny and then the tide came in.... it brought back memories of when I was younger working in the high Arctic and was asked by the boss to walk a D9 catapiller down to the beach to be used later that day,so I left it on the beach and went home for lunch... when I returned 2 hours later the water was up to the top of the tracks and going into the cab!!!
Saludos
