San Diego diet

We are almost ready to get back on the road again ; we definitely did not diet in San Diego , but my bike did . It lost 40 pounds We got rid of all our camping gear and some other stuff that we will not need anymore on our way down south . That means no more duffelbags on top of the panniers, no more dry bags attached to the crashbars!
Unbelievable how much stuff it was

Be sure you didn't accidentally misplace Luisa inside that big box...

Man its early. You really dont like those SoCal freeways at rush hour eh? Are you sure Luisa is awake? I would have ridden out with you but its a little too early and little too cold to get on my bike right now.

My pleasure hosting you guys here and in Alaska, and thanks for finding stuff in my kitchen that I didnt even know I had.

It was also fun learning Alemañol. Its a wonder I didnt start speaking Portuñol with you. Not enough Scotch maybe.

Hasta pronto y you guys are welcome back any time! We've got some Baja riding to do and snowmachine riding to do in Alaska! But I'm looking forward to coming down to Guate this winter and getting into trouble with you and Mario.

Buen viaje!

Un gran abrazo, Vicente

It was early by the time we got up and by the time I was ready; but by the time we left it was not early anymore
Traffic was not bad actually, we made good time . With the light bike I was doing 90 m/h most of the time .
We are now in Ajo, waiting for Halloween and tomorrow morning we are off to Mexico .

Thanks again for your hospitality and make sure that you get your ass down south this winter. Otherwise I might talk Mario into coming up and see you

Un fuerte abrazo!!!

Thumb So long USA

It's 5 am, and as soon as Luisa gets up we will ride to the border.
It's been 6 month since we came into the US in Naco,AZ.
It is a country with incredibly beautiful places and amazingly friendly and helpful people. We didn't have nothing but positive experiences and lots of great memories , but most of all, we made many new friends!!!
Muchas gracias !!!

It was a great pleasure for us to be a small part of your cool ride. Safe travels, Julio & Luisa.

The more I travel, the more I am convinced that the world is full of mostly good, friendly people. In my two years on the bike, I cant really recall one negative experience I had. There are bad people out there, but I didnt meet many of them, thats for sure. Before I left on my extended moto travels I was a little down on people in general. Traveling is a great way to see reality and discard all the bullshit that is fed to us on television.

I'm very happy that you had nothing but great experiences in the U.S.A.

I probably shouldnt have shown you that Dust to Glory movie of all the sand and silt in Baja. Next time we'll ride Baja.

Buen viaje! ¡Viva Mexico!

Seems to be exactly my experiences while travelling. Throw in some flat tires, or engine troubles and you really get to see the true side of society!
