Anybody got a source for ethanol resistant gasket material? Came out to the garage this morning and found the rubber gasket for the fuel pump had been eaten away and had about 2 gallons of gas on the floor.

EDIT: Nevermind. Found a chemical company down here and bought a square foot of commercial grade ethanol resistant rubber for $6.42.

Off the top of my head, what's that gasket, 3x3"?
That leaves enough to cut the remainder into about 15 sections that fit in regular envelopes for a couple bucks a piece to everyone else in the thread...cost recouped and everyone's ahead

Seriously though, what's everyone else doing about this? Not the first gasket issues I've heard about, and my gasket is still lying in the living room with my recently acquired tanks waiting for install..., might as well get it sorted while they're empty.

I'm glad I'm not alone in the "Let's Spend Big Bucks on Tanks This Week" group... just wrote a hefty check to CJ for a black set. Hopefully, by the time they get here and I get 'em on the bike, I'll be able to afford to fill 'em up; looks like we're in for another pricey summer at the pump.

The nice thing is that when you come across a good price on fuel you can get a LOT of it.

Nice Qwik!

Question for you Aquiline SuperTanker guys: Can you only fill up to the cap and the tank volume above the fill caps goes to waste or maybe needed for expansion space? I wondered why they didn't put the fill caps higher?

Clearance issues with the bars maybe? I have about 1.75 inches of rise on my bars

It's a good question.
For one, it's very narrow. I'm not sure how much space is lost. Surely a gallon between both (or about)

Maybe when we go downhill ... The poor little gas needs room to move

Strong possibility. Yet, I wouldn't have a clearance issue with mine.

Maybe for short people
