A long hard day of making miles. Some nice scenery as I paralleled the Pacific. I arrived at Emiliano's at 12:00 noon. He was already planning for us to leave early the next morning, so I did some PM on the KLR. Then I went over to see Johana at the hotel. In addition to working at the hotel, she does professional photography on the side.

If you need any photography just about any where in Mexico, please let me put you in touch with her. I have seen a lot of her photos and can vouch for her work. She is good!!!

She is based in Lazaro Cardenas.

I am putting the four days of the trip into the mountains together. The pictures were all taken by Emiliano. He is supposed to provide info to supplement many of the photos. He told me a lot about the history of the various site we saw, but I did not take notes and he is very knowledgeable in these area.

Somebody had a flat. Actually it was flat when we stopped for lunch, but we waited till after lunch to get it fixed.

We met up with some old class mates of Emiliano's as soon as we arrived in his home town.



And the party started. Another class mate joined us.

The man second from the your right is the mayor of the large city and a class mate of Emiliano's as well.



Yes! We were having a good time!

Marv is Emiliano's second cousin. Suzi is her friend. Both are grade school teachers.

We had an interesting night! The only hotel we came across was a Love Hotel, but Hector said it was also a regular hotel. They had no rooms with two beds remaining, so Hector and I shared a large California King Sized bed!!! I tried to get him to take a picture of the bed, but he refused. But he did take a couple of pictures.
