You and I are about the same age, but Crenshaw was 2 years ahead of me in high school.

I saw him again in the mid 1990's at the Houston Open. Fucker didn't remember me. WTF? I remembered him.

i shot a 77 once....

i quit at the #3 teebox.

winks,

me

p.s. i had 10 handicap at the end of my only year on the highschool team. my brother was good, i was just a hacker. i'd duff in front of the coach so he wouldn't send me to tourneys. bro went to state. dad was a player, sent us to golf camp as little shits. club in hand as a pup. i fuckin' hate playing but love to watch a good match.

p.p.s. high 70's on a really familiar course, under perfect conditions, never touching that cursed 3 iron.

p.p.s. or the driver, teeing down the 3 wood in the box. playing for a heller slice. fairway woods, no long irons(broke 3 five irons out o' fusstration). always had a decent short game.

Sounds like you need to carry a 12-gauge as one of your standard clubs to deal with the pesky gophers....

Ben was a year or two older than me, I think. I didn't know him then but read years later that he'd gone to the same school as I.

Those red ones should be the choice of most amateur men. Ego gets in the way though.
I went to Colonial and watched her. Amazing how she handled the pressure.

I used to play and also used to work as a greenskeeper at the local country club in my hometown. Folks belonged to the club, so I got to play for free. Played off and on with the HS team. My best handicap was about 6 or so.

Once I could legally drive, I got hired as part of the groundskeeping crew. It was decent money and allowed you to drive power equipment and do some really stupid shit. You also got a very nice tan as a side benefit. The other advantage was that as a member's son, you could work near the pool and ogle the young hotties.

One summer I did night watering. I drove the course with lights off so I could see animals easily and also could sneak up on anyone trying to drive onto the course. I caught some college kids driving one night. They were going to drive across a green. I prevented that and chased them across the course. They got away, but not without going through a 5 strand barbed wire fence.

Don't play anymore. It frustrates me, knowing I was once good. Oh well.

I'm pretty good at golf. I especially like the windmill hole, and the last hole what wins me a free game if I hole it in one.

So there's one for the pros, one for the men, and one for the women. that leaves one for hermaphrodites?
