I did kind of same thing, similar results, despite wearing Aerostich's finest. Made kind of a nest out of big pillows in the bed once I graduated out of sleeping in the chair. Still took a long time before I got a full nights sleep. Bought a Hit-air afterward, this is a good reminder for me to wear it religiously this spring.
