I think I licked the starting problem on the DR 350 so I should be good to go too. The KLR 650 is running nice too. Just hit 35,000 miles on it.

I started it on a 32 degree morning a while back with just about 3 kicks after I primed the carb with 10 kicks with the Deco lever.

Got something interesting to add to Saturday night. My wife and daughter are members of a belly dance troop and they are performing Saturday night May 5th in Bryson City at 7pm. It isn't every day that you get to ride motorcycles all day and then end with a Belly Dance performance. So the plan, for me at least, will be to end the ride close to Bryson city where I'll have dinner and then hit the show at 7pm. It is totally optional of course. There is a $5 admission to the show.

JoeWannaB ~ How is the rafting traffic during the rally? I would imagine there would be a lot of people on the hwy, but I reckon you guys don't get caught in it much?

Squirrely Girl, you're more than welcome to join us but I know how popular the beaver has become. I know you'll have a good time no matter which group you join. The gorge doesn't get too busy with the rafting traffic until Memorial Day.

I updated the Who's Comin' list. I have one bunk cabin and 3 rooms in the Nantahala House still available. I also have plenty of tent space too. About a month away now.

PM or call me if you want a room in the house or a tent space as you cannot book these online. You can book the whole house online but if you just want one of the bedrooms, you need to contact me directly.

Sorry you won't make it but I'll post up if I get another wild hair and decide to host one in the fall. I will be trying to ride weekends this summer if it doesn't get too hot. It got close to 90 yesterday!

No tellin' what the summer is going to be like. Might be a good year to get back into kayaking.
