If you want a preview, they are running the Frostbite and the White Knuckle grand prixs next weekend just South of Odessa (not the D100 course). I was there this last weekend and saw some Stumpjumpers in Chief's bar blowing off some steam Sat night after setting the courses for those races. We were working on our race car which we'll be racing in Portland the weekend of the D100.

Luis will be bringing the betashell sprinter van. Maybe we should circle the wagons.

It was pretty active for a while in there, hope you weren't drinking those "Irish Trashcans" drinks with the upside down can of Red Bull in them!? We just had a few beers and watched the F1 race.

Hey guys, what's the scoop on Friday? What do people do? I posted on the D100 FB site and they said there is an area you can ride but that the course is off limits until Saturday morning. So... other than getting registered and sitting around telling lies with your homies, what normally happens on Friday?

Got the low down on the Dual Sport ride..

Ok guys/gals I have the nitty gritty on the dual sport ride. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions. Should be a killer event. If anyone is heading out on a "big bike" 650cc or greater and wants to ride with me and other "big bikes", meet at the AltRider setup bright and early Saturday morning. I will be on a well ridden F800GS. See everyone there!

Stumpjumpers M/CDual Sport Poker Run event at Odessa - 2012

Welcome! Stumpjumpers MC has a very exciting ride planned for you with some great Dual Sport specific prizes, including the Poker Run Grand Prize. We have a great Dual Sport Poker Run planned for you. You’ll see the sights of Odessa and the surrounding area including eight private property trail rides including the BLM Off Highway Vehicle area. Everyone gets a free T-shirt but the first 100 Dual Sport Poker Run punch cards receive a Rocky Coulee Brewery free "full meal deal" lunch coupon!

We have two routes this year A (Enduro) and B (Adventure) for the Dual Sport Courses. Route A (Enduro) which is over 100 miles and Route B (Adventure) which is over 50 miles designed for larger 652cc Minimum dual sport bikes. Both Routes will consist of one or two laps on the Family or Iron Man Poker Run course. The route A (Enduro) is a figure eight with camp in the middle where Route A and B intersect. The Route B (Adventure) is the second section of this figure eight. See the map on back. Your Dual Sport ride will include private land with new trails almost never traveled on before, with very few rocks or ruts to worry about. If your bike has a license plate, the Dual Sport Poker Run is for you! You get everything the Family or Ironman Poker Runs offer, plus a lot more private off-road dirt bike and 4X4 trails. This year we have included mulitiple motocross course with jumps and whoops just a short ride away from camp.

•Route A (Enduro) also includes all of Route B (Adventure) 652cc or large, see Route Map.
•Route B (Adventure) is the second half of the Route A (Enduro) Dual Sport Course.
•Route B (Adventure) may be by-passed by Route A rides. By riding directly into Odessa via SR28 to Check Point 5 for lunch at the Rock Coulee Brewery. This is a 9 Mile ride to Odessa.
•Route B (Adventure) 652cc Minimum bikes should consider their riding skill level for the FAMILY/IRON MAN courses.
•Dual Sport Riders meeting is scheduled to start at 7:00AM
•Dual Sport Poker Run starts after riders meeting
•Ride for one (Recommended) or two laps on FAMILY or IRON MAN Poker Runs.
•There are 3 re-fueling stops
o 1st is at camp after exiting FAMILY/IRON MAN Poker Run course
o 2nd is at camp after the first 55 miles of the road and private trail course
o 3rd is in Odessa after the second 55 miles of the road and private trail course
•Start Dual Sport Course road section “out the main gate” no later than 11:00AM.
•Lower gate closes about 1:00PM, so if you get back early you may ride more.
•Trophy and prize presentation is about 4:30PM or later (at sign-up booth)
Check Points
1st = Sign-up booth
2nd = On FAMILY/IRON MAN Poker Run Course
3rd = On course next to the Free Hot Dog Stand
