Helmet is very light compared to the Arai and Shoei. I take a med in Arai and Fox and the AGV is similiar. Haven't tried it out yet, too much damn rain

Well I bought a Fly Treker today, I was stunned when I walked in the local bike shop and there was one my size on the shelf...AND it was $199....same as ive seen on most aussie webpages.
Not the colour I really wanted, but hey...

Will give it a workout this weekend and see how it goes.

Bit the bullet and picked up an Icon Variant on sale at Triumph TM Springwood today at less than half the price of the Hornet or XD3.

I have been in contact with Cassons again about the XD4.

As it stands at the moment they won't commit to a price or a date. However they say they are expecting to have the first stock sometime in the next 8 weeks, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Insurance companies pay out $ based on purchase price and date of purchase. QBE for example take 10% straight line depreciation from purchase receipt if over 2 years old, up to 7 or 10? Years

And if you can't produce the purchase receipt they go off of the date of manufacture on the helmet. Some helmets on the shelves in bike shops in Brisbane are 5 years old already.

QBE also base their replacement prices on what the same product currently costs. My Klim Dakar pants and Dririder jacket are significantly cheaper now than when I bought them so that is what I was paid out on.

Called into the new Yamaha shop in Capalaba today for a squizz at their new shop.

Got chatting to one of the blokes working there and it turned out he's a rep for Cassons, so jumped at the opportunity to ask about the XD4.

News is it's now listed in his work computer as a future stock item and will be available in June, he had taken the computer out of his car last night so was not able to check the RRP.

I asked him about their stocks of XD3 and he said that they are carrying just enough to be able to fill orders and so probably won't have a lot of stock to clear when the XD4 comes along.

He was very helpful and offered to send multiple sizes and colours to the shop (Bayside Yamaha) to test fit, and even suggested that the owner who was standing beside him would offer us a discounted price on our order of two helmets and a Leatt brace.
