Wasn't the clutch and brake levers guy a pickup you met in the woods that needed parts? Not to many people would strip parts off their bikes for others!

Yes, he seen me at a stop and asked if I had an extra clutch cable, I said I didn't but he could follow us to our house and I would give him mine off my WR that I was riding. He was just up for the weekend and i would hate to see someone not be able to ride with his group when i had other bikes to ride. I have met alot of people that I think would do the same.

I would be interested in this ride...but wife and I are signed up for Tough Mudder as well, along with one brother-in-law and the father-in-law.

To be honest, I'm not sure that the individuals in my group are making a particularly reasonable life decision on this one.

Would you like me to mention this Thread to the Members of TwinCities Dual Sport? I know a lot of people are just itching to go for a ride in this nice weather.

This is what I wrote

I wanted everyone to know that some friends of mine are hosting an adventure ride weekend up by Paul Bunyan State Forest. They are great people and have a big yard with room for lots of camping. Here is the link. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=770843
You will have to contact them through ADVrider to get there address (don't be shy) but other then that, just show up. They are very close to lots of gravel roads and trails so I plan on doing a lot of riding. Check it out. We are hoping for a big group with lots of variety of bikers and bikes.

I thought about posting it at http://minneadv.info/ under events but they need your email and real name so I thought it would be better if you do it and not me.

ThumperTalk is another place you can list event in Minnesota. A lot of MX guys watch the posts there, and MX guys can be a scary bunch sometimes.

Thanks for forwarding the message to TC dual sport. I would ride Fri - Sun and stay in a small RV. Can I get an address or directions?

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks for the cross post. I'd love to ride with you folks again after the fine weekend last Fall. Perhaps Martha can help me decide between riding and attending my son's graduation from law school in Wash. DC that weekend.
