No I was gonna lead all three of us to the wrong turky hill, but I got it now....

A convenient place for breakfast is the Silver Spring Diner, 2.7 miles south of the meeting place. From either PA 944 or I-81, take PA 114 south to a left turn onto Sporting Green Drive. Then enter the shopping center parking lot on the right, and the diner will be on your left. It is in the shopping center parking lot on the northeast corner of the intersection of PA 114 and US 15.

Sorry I ditched. I would like to give a good reason, but I was pretty smoked and had a long ride home. I was brain fading on the trail. My head was not in the game. I also had my GPS set for home and it was saying I would be home for 530 so I figured I would take the scenic route home. The long winter without a bike has left me soft. I did 368 miles today and it really kicked my ass.

Here are the pictures from the water crossing. Sorry I didn't get everyone. My bike was parked on me. Enjoy the pictures..

Thumb

I only took two craptastic photos all day. Too busy riding. I guess the secret is to fall off your bike, but that only works if you're at the front of the line.
So, proof that you all were there so you can assure your spouses you weren't at some titty bar:

The photos suck because the riding was awesome!

This ride should be mandatory to pass a dual sport test. It had everything but mud, sand and locusts. Dust, twisty pavement, water crossings, fast gravel, ultra-loose gravel (when you see a road grader parked along the road, you know things will get bad in a hurry) and Tower Road, the true test of one's abilities at keeping a too-heavy bike upright on rocky terrain. I don't think anyone dropped it aside from the first water crossing (and it doesn't really count as a fail if you make it to the other side, lol). A fun, challenging day for me. I'm sure some thought it was too easy, and some thought it was too difficult, but I was entertained.

A big thanks to our host Racer for putting this together.

Awesome ride today, it was great meeting everyone. If any of you ever need bike work, shoot me a PM, i'd be happy to help. Thanks for an awesome day.

I made it home in 1a hour 40 minutes, not bad for 130 miles haha.

Here's a Super Huge THANK YOU to everyone

who came out today for our Spring Ride.

We started out the day with 24 riders, and finished with 21...... 170 miles on the route, plus everyones ride to and from the event. Total time was just over 6 hours, with a 36mph moving average. Beautiful day,, no problems with any bikes,, a little water,, a "LITTLE" dust,, good roads,, sketchy roads,, good friends,, new faces,, and beer at the end. I'll call it a GREAT day.

...Not to mention the terrorist who dropped a Molotov cocktail in our path on the ascent of Tower Hill Road.

Thanks

We had a great day of riding today!

It went so smooth, everyone looked out for the person behind them and no one got lost.

It was good to see some old friends and make some new ones.

Looking forward to doing this again next year!
