Question Outdoor holiday lights times?

From when to when do you guys set your automatic timer to go on and off for your christmas (holiday) lights?

It gets dark around here at around 5:45 now, so does 6 PM to around 9 PM sound right?

Depends if my neighbors are sleeping. If they go to bed early I'll run that shit until 2am

Ours has a light sensor. So we usually do dusk + 5 hours or so.

15+ strings of LED lights pull less current than the space heater I have in the garage, I just leave that shit on all the time until after New Years.

9PM? McScrudge?

There are plenty of nights I won't get home until after that. I push them until near 11. Come on a little before 5, off about 6 hours later.

That was with the old 7W C9 bulbs. Just hung the LEDs for this year. I am thinking of running them all night and shutting down the standard all night low voltage lighting. Almost dark enough to go outside and see how it looks.

I plug them in when I get home from work. Unplug them when I go to bed if it's not too cold outside. Sometimes they stay on for a week at a time.

Half of them are burned out anyway so it's not a huge power draw.

We pull the switch when we hit the sack at night. Usually 9:30 or 10:00. Not too many people around to see them after that.
