Bike looks/sounds great John! I'm stoked to be joining you guys.

Looks like communications (Sat Phones and hand held radios) are sorted courtesy of Anytime Communications in Phoenix, AZ.

Awesome thanks for hooking that sponsor up.

I signed up Ed Ellis (Bronco Driver) to be our US point of contact for the chase crews. He will have spot tracker access to the bike and will be on call to assist chase with his 31 years of Baja 1000 experience. So glad to have him backstopping us!

Yeah, very cool

Way to go guys. I had a chance to hear the bike early this week when Owen first fired it up. Quickly the shop was cleared out from the sound. But the sound was great!! Hope you all have time to get comfy with the bike soon. Sponsor for the gear, AWESOME looking gear!! Round of applause to Owen for his expertise too.
Honzilla fits!!

[QUOTE=azcagiva;18500218]Today it looks like we figured out the "carb" problems. The intake manifold on the right cylinder was sucking air. Fixed that and still stumble. Turns out the new condenser was bad, so we installed the old one and viola, no more stumble.

So the test ride that was to happen today will be tomorrow.

Took a few pics. Here she is in all her glory.

So let me know what you guys think.

]Hello John I've put a lot of miles 350 hondas .I would run a ground from the condensers to the engine also check the alinment of the points to make sure they close squarely this really helps longevity of the points .I've put on 200 miles a week sometimes on my 1971 SL 350 . I went from the 24mm keihin carbs to 26 mikunis carbs and run a CB 450 rear sprocket I think a 38 and 15 front 530 chain.I run dual Harley sportster mufflers what a nice sound the honda does not have the exhaust volume to fill the mufflers like the Harley so they are much louder and it pulls like a frieght train between 6-7 grand about 5900 at 60 mph ,On that CB 450 rear sprocket you have to grind or turn down the center so it will fit on the SL hub it's to thick. When I got SL running in 2011 it had 8000 miles now just turned 17000 miles .My 71 CL/CB mix had also around 8000 now over 22000 with about 3000 of that pulling a small trailer ,great motors.
As Classic bike says "Don't hide them ride them" Good Luck John

Today was a good day. Found out what the bike gets for fuel mileage, that I don't know how to operate a go pro, and that even a blind hog gets an acorn every once in awhile( the bike actually works and works well)l. The suspension is good and it was easier to ride than Bob's xr 600.

I will try to post up the videos that I did get on the card tomorrow. The good one of Bob taking some sweet jumps didn't get recorded.

Got a chance to take the bike out with John yesterday and Wow, just effin Wow!

I dont want to give away any trade secrets, so I will be a bit vague. This suspension set-up is the cats meow. Honzilla pleasantly surprised and amazed with its abillity to absorb some difficult, high speed technical trail with nary a hint of effort. Power is very usable and blends well with the suspension.

Also got a chance to meet and mingle with some of the LameCo senior technical advisors to this build yesterday, as well as visiting the man-cave where scores of classic old scooters are stored. Very impressive indeed.

Kudos to John and the behind the scenes crew for putting together a serious Baja runner.

Honzilla update

Finished up the bike today. John Jr will clean her up tomorrow, change oil, etc. The senior tech adviser in charge of negativity, doom & gloom, all things bad & President of the He man woman haters club rode Honzilla today. He came back speechless and with a twinkle of hope & optimism in his eye. Perhaps, disaster is not so imminent. In the immortal words of Louis L'Amour all outlaws are optimists. So are us racers.
