Very Nice SL. There is just something magical about them... I really want to add one to my stable.

I can't wait to get moving south and get this race started!!!!

Congratulations! Good luck and be safe. I never believed you'd get that project finished in time to make the start.

We've had bike builds started in November targeting Daytona in March. Yet it always ended the same; scrambling to finish the bikes in the wee hours before the drive south at dawn in driving snow...and then we wouldn't know what we had until first pit-out.

I guess it's the same for everybody.

She looks great. Now go get 'em!

I've been vintage roadracing with SMRI in Albuquerque for several years now & it's just like you say. Everything is always down to the wire. I think it's just human nature. We're actually way ahead on this event in that the bike was finished a few days before the event!!
Appreciate the support!

Swag!!!!

We ended up making some very limited edition Shirts and hats for the crew and have some available for our supporters.

These hats are not just any hats... These are LAMEco Racing special hats commemorating our upcoming 2012 effort. Not only are they hats but they also will open your favorite mexican beer for you. Because under the brim we tucked away a chrome steel bottle opener.
From Drop Box

We only have a very limited supply so PM me if you want one. These will be $25 shipped CONUS.

If you want a designer Michael Brandon shirt we have a few. Those will come with the LAMEco Racing logo on the left breast and will be $40 dollars shipped CONUS. (no vintage HONDA patch though) PM me your size and I will give payment instructions via PayPal.

Those old Honda twins have a very distinctive sound that I recognized instantly after all these decades. Even a megaphone can't hide it.

Andrew, I'm a former GM Service Mgr and have seen just about everything failing at any given time, but a flywheel failure at 65k seems a bit early. What exactly failed, did the teeth come off the starter ring or did the flywheel crack at the crankshaft flange?

There were some reports of a potentially blown head gasket, but that seems to be false and the boys are en route!
