Yea, so? I'm riding all weekend and it's snowy and will be in the high teens

Sry for cross post - I put this in the EXC thread too since we use the same seat

Here is my brand new out of the box Seat Concepts "complete seat".

This is the factory made one they ship to you that they build. It is standard height. Carbon sides. Gripper top:

Informal "squeeze test" - I squeezed with my thumb until I could feel the seat pan:

vs. the stock seat:

Fit is perfect... just like the stock pan

Profile:

Top shape:

Right side:

Left side:

Pretty much the same thickness as stock - it is wider at the back than stock but not by a lot.
The big difference is the foam density.. only a ride will tell whether it works for my arse or not.
Hopefully I can sneak out for a few hours tomorrow before the snowstorm arrives this weekend.

Have fun, Paul is the dude! We're riding snotty frozen single track and some rocky hill climbs and maybe some two track if the sleds haven't been out yet.
I'll get some video

Also wanted to add, after hearing about clogged filters and what not. after having the fuel line recall done, I pulled the tank and did a flush on it.
You would not believe the crap that came out! so much so that it clogged the screen in my funnel. Sooo glad I did that before my first ride or I may have been stranded on the trail.

Took a short ride last sunday....The bike is phenominal so far!
wait wait wait... so you drained the gas tank, and what was in the tank is what clogged your funnel screen? i take mine out for its first ride next week. i had the recall done prior to buying it, but im wondering now if i should drain the tank?

enlighten me advriders

I had been hearing stories about people only riding a few miles and the bike quits.
When I drained my tank, there were shavings and plastic chips floating in the gas, (from the manufacuring/ drilling process) so much that it clogged the screen. I'll post asome pics up in the next day or two. You should flush yours also.Might keep you from being stranded. Also ordered a Golan filter.

Finally getting around to installing my heated grips on the 500. I always buy two sets of grips and then put a thick walled self-adhesive piece of shrink wrap on the left bar before I wrap the heater elements.

I then use a throttle grip on both sides (necessary for the extra thickness on the left bar).
Both grips always heat equally for me with this method

Great idea! No waste on non-used small sized grips- put those on your mountain bike

That came out of the stock tank. This is right off the showroom floor!

Hadn't even ridden the bike yet. I heard of others having clogged filters/injector right from the git-go, so I decided to flush the tank right away. Where I ride, it would be a bitch to push out of the woods.
