If you're speaking from personal experience, I'd love to hear more about it as it's a serious contender as my future cage replacement. (pm me)
From what I researched, it has quite a few full sized trucks and SUV's beat in the hp to weight ratio and has the advantage of a fully lockable rear cargo area (unlike a truck) and enough room to fit my Suzuki in the back of it without needing a trailer like one would need with an SUV.
Seriously, it you have personal experience with this cargo van, please pm me.

...and I'll be able to smoke a few sporty cars from a light, while hauling a bike in the back of it.

Yeah I think you will be able to smoke a tC pretty handily.

I had an incident like this in DC close to 20 years ago. A drunk Salvadoran chased a friend of mine and I down 16th street into Adams Morgan.

We, too sped like madmen - we were on fast bikes - and also couldn't shake the guy - it was a clapped out Honda, so it's not HP, it's determination.

We even stopped and confronted the guy (who brandished a steering wheel lock), and after we left, he continued to chase us.

In retrospect, we had cellphones. We should have simply called the cops, and waited for them to come (and used the magic words -- drunk and brandishing). Alternately, we could have disabled his vehicle by pulling out the valve stems (we both carried Leatherman tools).

Regarding mini vans, my wife bought a stupid RAV 4, and while I absolutely hate it (it's too small in the drivers seat for me, I'm tall) it does have a 240 hp V6. I can kill it off the line on my KTM, but it tops out at 100 -- that Toyota will easily do 120, although I haven't tried. Hell, almost any car will go faster at top speed than almost any thumper.

Sounds like the law needs to have a talk with your guy, now that you know where he's located.

IMHO, if the minivan sociopath had wanted to knock you off, I'm 100% sure that he would have just floored it when you pulled out in front of him. He was just fucking with you, and you responded to his taunting. Minivan driver is a bully and was enjoying terrorizing you. If you remove the satisfaction, the motivation diminishes.

Dude! It was a joke (like 90% of my responses).
Seriously; I ride a little street 250...how concerned do you think I am about winning stop-light races. (although, I will take any "win" I can get)

You should have headed to the one lane bridge. Evevryone knows those Gleaming Alloy Aircars are too wide to cross one lane bridges.

The short story that inspired the song should be read when you get a chance if you're a Rush fan...

Turbo Dodge Caravan. Very little work needed to go retarded fast. We used to have one, and I've embarrassed WRX's and EVO's.

This is one of the faster street builds a guy did from a few years back. There are much faster ones now. Mine ran mid-12's.

The SRT4 engine is a bolt-in swap to the newer chassis. LOTS of cheap aftermarket, too. This one is putting down somewhere in the neighborhood of 500WHP.

And a bone stock ZX14 will eat them for lunch on pump gas. Cheaper too.

I don't know if Flysniper would spin around with shrieking tires to run the deadly race, but he would definitely do a pop-a-wheelie.

I type this as I sit here in my RUSH 1974-2112 Hoodie from their last tour.
