Woodford - Glasshouse Mtns Dirt ride this sunday?

UPADATE: WE ARE ALSO HEADING IN THIS SATURDAY 31ST MARCH, PM ME IF YOU ARE KEEN TO TAG ALONG.

Did someone say RECCE RIDE???

Sandy and I are heading in to Glasshouse this Sunday for a recce ride for an upcoming Snail Trails day.

Leaving Woodford Bakery at 8.30 am, route will be through fire trails which may be sloppy after the rain (I haven't done em for a while, so no guarantees as to track surface).

Obviously, being a recce for Snail Trails, I will be looking for the easiest tracks initially, then a bit of a play later on, depending who comes. Pace will be medium. Smaller bikes would probably be the go. Or freaks of nature on Transalps, KTM motards and DR motherships.

We'll try to keep the group smallish, so first in.

Should be finished riding by about 2ish.

Absolute slop fest up there at the moment Strummer, possibly worse than you have ever seen it.

Have fun.

Hi Andy,

the KATO Motard was just a loan bike, so I am out until my back will cope with the postie( getting close ) or I can work out what bike is for me. KATO 300 absolute ball in the dirt but a dead set pig for the road, even on motard wheels. I got about 80 klms to a 13 litre tank and wasnt even really going that hard, possibly could be made better with some jetting changes.

have fun all

Brian

Sorry mate. I'd love to ride with you but off to Bendemeer to give the big pig a run.

She's feeling neglected.

Hi Strummer & all you Glasshouse larakins just letting you know that the D'aguilar store is open under new management and is selling fuel & hot food. No Premium for a couple of weeks though.

Jason & his missus are good local people and are keen to get a few bike riders back there.

Thanks & have a wet one

Rusty.

Good to know. thanks Dusty.

I like to support the little local guy when I can. That way they might be there when I need them.

Have fun.
The run we did through Mt Mee last Saturday was great. Misty and no dust but the creeks were up and watch the concrete causeways guys, very green and slippery. The little bit we did near Glass house was way too shitty for me. It was not nice.
Like Cruz said, it was a slop fest.

If the sun gets a chance to get out and dry things out it may improve but the weather reports don't look good.

Will assess the weather closer to Sunday mate but will most likely stay away from that area for quite a while, don't wanna end up back in hospital, had enough of that place.

If I don't see you guys out there have a good one. Would have been great to catch up.

Johnnie....

It's great to see everyone back, I was starting to wonder where everyone went..I would love to come but my bike is in NSW as I have been riding down there a little bit recently. I will have it back in a week or so, then I will be ready to hit the tracks up here again..

damn, would love to go but will off in northern nsw for the weekend exploring some national parks etc on two wheels.

watch out for fred, after nailing a perfect 10 / 10 on the extremely greasy and treacherous "strummer's hill" in bellthorpe it's all gone to his head and there will be no stopping him.

No worries Johnnie, Patrick, SJ and B1, catch you on the next one.
Brian, the phrase 'wasn't even really going that hard' just does not have the ring of truth when it comes from you.
But anyhow, hope the back gets better soon mate.
