Here is another Ohio Covered Bridge Road Trip…this time it’s to the North East corner of Ohio (Ashtabula County).

320 miles round trip

The first one is the South Denmark Road Bridge built in 1895.




Next is the Netcher Road Bridge built in 1999 …This is a modern bridge built using an “Ohio Timber Grant”.







Next is the Smolen-Golf Bridge. This bridge is another modern bridge built in 2008. It is the longest covered bridge in the USA at 613 feet long and stands 93 feet above the Ashtabula River and has a clear width of 30 feet.











Next is the Doyle Road Bridge built in 1868.





The next one is the Harpersfield Bridge built in 1868. In 1913 part of the bridge was washed away so a new steel section was built onto the North end.











Here is the Mechanicsville Bridge built in 1867.







Last but not least here is the Riverdale Road Bridge built in 1874. It had a steal brace added in 1945 for strength.

Somewhere between Buffalo and eastern PA. I rode through to get the picture, and noticed on way back that it was wired with a security camera and an alarm system. Not sure where it went on the other side..
