Sth America or SE Asia

Hi all,
Just for a bit of fun I have set up a little online poll to see how many travellers have the same feelings as I do about their travels in the above continents.
I would be grateful if you could spend a minute or two to answer the questions, not for any scientific reasons, but more so to confirm my own feelings about our trip.
And could I please ask that only people that have travelled both Continents respond.

[The Motorcycle Thing]

Both are great in their own ways. I've spent time living and motorbiking in SA and Asia.

They say that the first continent you visit abroad is the one that you fall in love with, and for me that was South America. Easy to learn the language, super friendly people that like to to eat well, party and generally love life. I found it much easier to meet local people in South America for the reasons above.

I've also lived in Vietnam, and now I live in China. Asia is great because of the diversity. Crossing a border gives way to a completely new language and culture, which can be super interesting, but also causes its own set of problems. The people are also really friendly, but it can be hard to get to know them well without the language skills. There can also be more border crossing/visa issues in Asia than in South America, and it's probably harder to source bikes/parts than in South America.

You can't go wrong with either, but after three years in Asia, the place I'm looking forward to getting back to most on the bike is South America.
