EGT 2012 Weiswampach Luxembourg

My wife and I shipped our sidecar rig from Boston MA in the USA to Zeebrugge Belgium for the trip of a lifetime. Key to our plans was to attend the 2012 European sidecar Rally in Weiswampach Luxembourg. With over 1000 sidecars in attendance, it was a sidecarist dream come true! Well we're back home. Can't really explain what an experience it was. I think I may have over used the the word amazing but it was. The first link is to pictures we took at the rally. The second link is to pictures we took during our visit to the NSU Museum in Neckarslum Germany, They were all taken with a Nikon D40. The third link is pictures taken with a Race Optics HD Pro Bullet cam while we were riding along. We spent 3 weeks traveling 3000 miles through Holland, Belgium. France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. We got see some amazing places and made lots of new friends. All and all, the trip of a lifetime.

enjoy

Great photos and there are not many bikes they don't put a chair on. Must have been a great time-thanks for your thread.

Thanks for sharing the pics!!

One thing that really sticks out (too me at least) is the lack of "conventional" front suspension (aka: "Forks") on the rigs over there.

Nice set of pictures. You didn't take pictures of our group, and probably hundreds of other bikes. See you next year in Hatzfeld for the rest?
Never been to the NSU museum, looks very nice. I'll put it on my ToDo list.

Sidecarsrfun,
Who did you ship with and what did it run both ways? How long ahead did you have to ship it and where did you pick it up at? My wife and I are thinking of doing something similar when I retire in 7yrs or so.

Thank you all for your comments and glad you're enjoying the photos. I know prior to our trip, I spent hours looking at pictures people took at previous EGT's. Glad I could contribute these. It was so worth the effort to attend.

Unfortunately we're not going to be able to go to Hatzfeld next year. Right now our plans is to go to Nova Scota next year to visit with our good friends that Just opened up The Yellow Sidecar a B&B on the Cabot trail. http://www.theyellowsidecarbnb.com/b...ast/breakfast/
