Wicked Made the front page!

So somebody called our local paper and told them I rode my bike every day this winter which was record breaking in the snow and cold departments. The paper called me on Friday and did a phone interview, asked for a couple photos and said they were going to print an article about me in Sunday's edition. I figured it would be buried in the back in the local news or society section. I got my paper Sunday and it was front page center. A very cool surprise. :foilhead:

Nice article! I ride to work everyday, but nothing special about doing it in Florida. Maybe all the snowbird traffic?

Ride to work

I taught school for almost 35 years and my students called me "the friendly Hell's Angel" because I rode to and from school almost every day. Here in Portland, OR we don't have much snow but definitely have rain. Absolutely loved the ride each way, rain or shine.

After 50 years on two wheels have gone the sidecar route. Just thought it would be interesting to see if an old dog could learn new tricks. Had so much fun I now have two rigs.

The winter traffic is really bad here in Fort Myers,FL this year but I can't complain since I am now a snowbird after living here full time for 30 years.

I also ride to work each morning, but it's only about one mile each way. This has been a record cold winter here in central NY never got above freezing all Feb. I'm always waiting for the guys in the white jackets to come by and ask me questions! More than a couple days I could just get my outfit off the road and had to walk up to the shop, about 100 yards, for a skidsteer to plow a path down to the sidecar then ride it up to shop and walk back to get the skidsteer to finish plowing.
