Very glad you like it, I appreciate the feedback. To add your own offer, just post it on the Tent Space Signup Thread. It will appear on the map within a few days after you add it there. Thanks again.

Steve has silently added a new feature to the maps which I think is fantastic.
![]() Using information from the Double Check project which aims to verify each Tent Space offer annually, Steve's maps now show the last date each Tent Space was confirmed. It's a small but powerful piece of information which will give the user an idea of how current the offer is, and as we continue with the Double Check, almost every offer will be current. Jamie

Today we added the first entries for South Korea and Chile... also the easternmost point of North America. Cool!

Updates and such
Some news and updates:
The original post has been edited to clarify some things and add the link to the signup thread. Anyone interested in the Tent Space List map may want to follow the Double Check project. It has resulted in massive improvements to the quality of the list, deleting literally hundreds of defunct offers, confirming that several hundred more are truly current, and prompting the edits for many more where the host has moved. It's been a remarkable piece of work, architected by Jamie Z but performed by his posse of volunteers who have really knocked the rust off the list. As Jamie mentioned a couple of posts back, the offer date displayed on the map now reflects the latest of created/modified/confirmed date - taking the "confirmed" date from the work done in the Double Check project. A long standing problem on the map has been that in cities which have more than 1 offer, in Google Maps the display can be confusing. When you click on the icon for a city that has multiple offers, it brings up just one of the offers and you need to notice the "Next" button in the text or you might miss that there are other offers. In Google Earth it's not a problem because when you click on the icon it "spiderfies" itself, springing out to the appropriate number of icons. Google Maps doesn't do that. One thing I've done to reduce the confusion wherever there are multiple offers in a city is to include an n/n number indicating the number of offers, such as "Paris 1/2, France" (for the first of two offers in Paris) or "Gerlach 4/7, NV" (for the fourth of seven offers in Gerlach). Another thing I've started working on is actually spreading out the icons in the multi-offer cities, but it will take some time to work through all the data. You can see how that works by looking at Austin Texas, where there are 8 offers. You can look at Knoxville TN (which I haven't updated yet) to see how it works before I spread the icons out. Feedback welcome.

This is a major effort, and is sure to be handy to many riders. Thanks for all the thankless labor.

Thanks for putting this list together. It's great, and I'm using it to plan a trip I'm taking next week.
Wanted to let you know that Number8teen is no longer living in Milwaukee, so that entry is invalid.

I've hosted to folks in Boise in the last month or so. It's been great to meet other ADV Riders and to talk shop. If you're considering signing up, I would highly recommend it.
Thanks for setting up this thread--this is amazing!
