DataDaddy did the Alcan 5000 on his KLR in 2006 (I think), he did a bunch of riding that summer and wrote a fantastic ride report. I thought he finished fairly well and also thought his report included links to other Alcan ride reports. His was one of the ride reports that sucked me into Adv back in the day.
For those that are looking for an ICO enduro computer, check out other small bike forums (KTMtalk for ex.). The ICO is used to run woods enduros by lots of guys and I have seen them used on the classifieds in the $100 range. Good luck to to all the participants, I'll be reading your updates and all that stuff.

So not only is the ICO checkmate no longer in production, all they now sell is the rally VRL and its only available to "overseas customers". Any other suggestions?

ICO Rallye VRL Light - http://www.rallymanagementservices.c...allye-vr-light Tripmaster XL - for those of us with aging eyes, or for good visibility at high speed ![]() http://www.rallymanagementservices.c.../tripmaster-xl MX1West also sells the ICO VRL. http://www.mx1west.com/ico-racing-rallye-computer.aspx Both are great companies, run by knowledgable people. Used Checkmates also come up for sale fairly frequently on eBay now that most enduros don't require timekeeping.
