A Ride Thru' Baja to Cabo

I leave tomorrow for Baja, and the long road to Cabo San Lucas. I have contemplated taking the boat to the mainland, but possibly I won't. I do want to take a full two weeks. Maybe the mainland ride back would be better. I've got to think about that.
Any suggestions along those lines would be welcome.
Since I'm on an RT, I hope to stay only on pavement, except perhaps for road repair areas, and maybe the east cape ride back to La Paz.
My first stop is Ensenada tomorrow. And I hope to post a photo from there, and maybe one from La Mirador, the one required stop on the road to Ensenada.
And then make a leisurely pace down 1 from there since I'm in no rush, and just want to enjoy the ride.

My experience tells me that 2 weeks isn't too much to spend on Baja. It's easy to do 500 miles a day...or more, but I'd recommend 250 and see the sights. Baja has a lot going for it.

Spend the first night at www.coyotecals.com . The road is good all the way out to the beach ten north along the bluff 3 KM

Have a great trip, David. where are you leaving from?

I got to Ensenada at 3:30. Cool, or cold ride, gloomy skies all the way here. So I didn't bother stopping at El Mirador. But I did stop to see the horses on the beach.
Hopefully from here south it'll be nice and sunny, and warm. That's what I like.
It was after 9 before I got going out of Los Angeles.
Coco's. At the beach. But a different one where the horses are on the beach.

Well, I am in La Paz.
I have taken no more photos. Just riding. And it was tough with some very strong winds.
Mulege is a very nice little old town. But a bit on the tattered side.
La Paz has grown tremendously since the last time I was here, but I guess that's to be expected. And it appears to have a lot of the problems of the big city.
I'm about to leave for Cabo San Lucas, so I may start taking some photos.
One GS and one Harley, a pair from Salinas now about to head north, from here, in the next room. Let me get a photo to post later.

And an explanation of the photos.
My machine in the 'compound' in La Paz. My first, and most important friend in La Paz. Donna and Kurt from Salinas leaving to take 7 days to get back to Salinas.
The view from my room in Cabo.

Hotel?

I am headed to La Paz next week. What hotel did you stay and what did you pay? Was it secure?

Yes
Maybe someone should start a thread about the Cats of Baja and Other Places, or something. I like dogs too, but sometimes ...
I think the same two dogs followed me from La Paz and spent the night in Cabo, last night, outside my room, barking all night long. It sounded exactly like the same two dogs.
The cats would never do that. One of them may have done a little something funny to my front tire, but other than that ...

Went over to Dan's (Bajaho) house yesterday with he and his wife. Beautiful, and for rent when they are not here. It is definitely a rental that is well worth the price.
Today I went for a boat ride. A guy has to get off the boat sometime.

I'll be doing something similar on my RT in just under 3 weeks.... Although I am taking the boat over to Mazatlan after checking out Cabo. Subscribed.
