Nice work Brian! Are you gonna dyno it when you're done? It would be really neat to see what all your work brought you, and for the rest of the collective........

I don`t think there is a dyno near me,,closest would be at least 3 hours away,,would be cool though to see where it sits when done...tuning on a dyno would be even nicer.......i used to have access to a 4 gas analyzer awhile ago..it and a dyno would be a sweet pair

Now back to drinkin..

Nice job, that is precisely why my DR650 stays in the shed out of sight unless Im riding it. If I dont look at it much and just change the oil, clean the air filter its always ready to go. With luck.

Ups sucks

So........i got the head out of the box..........and low and behold there is shipping damage,,imagine that

Right where the small bypass ports are below the exhaust pipe ports are...the head gasket is supposed to seal these off to the cylinder...

Sooooooooo...CW said by looking at the pics that the head gasket would likely still seal...i told him if there was a chance on it leaking.......it would for me and if i have to pull the head off after getting it running i`m going to be pissed right off..

I was kinda pissed off........but at least it`s not a deal breaker

So ....i measured the port hole,,,5/16 inch..........

Then i tapped the holes 3/8 inch and went and got 4 allen head set screws.......installed one with locktite........then installed another right in after it with locktite too and tightened the crap out of it..........

Done like dinner........leak now ya bugger

Drunk and passed out no doubt. I am sure there will be some other excuse, but we all know the deal.
