I think I downloaded from here. I got the link from this Openstreetmap page. This is where I get most of my maps because they are in .img format and you just put them on your memory card. way easy.

I wish ADVrider had a "like" button. I might not reply to every comment. But I love the discussions here. Also, I'm sorry if questions have gone unanswered... re-ask or send me a pm if I've missed one.

Great update Noah. Japan looks beautiful! Love all the pictures of the custom bikes and street scenes. Everybody takes pictures of the big touristy sites, but it's nice to see the motorcycle adventurers's ground view pictures of your travels.

Hope the "Hobbit Toe" has gotten better. Gout sucks, I used to think that only sailors and pirates get that, but have since met a couple of really "Tough guys" that have gotten sidelined by the pain it can bring.

It's great "armchair" travelling along with you!

As for gout... I think Fletch (crestedbutte-rtw) had it also, for the same reasons - too much red meat and beer. They should rename it RBS: rtw-bikers syndrome

Noah,

You may want to look into Allopurinol. A friend of mine suffers from gout and rather than tackle it solely with diet his doctor put him on this med. As with all meds I am sure there are side affects you would want to look into.

Beautiful pics, Japan looks so clean. It's really interesting to see the pics of the countryside and, of course, the motorcycles. Very cool.

Noah,
I was curious, how long does it usually take you to make one of your updates to this thread with pictures and all. Is it bothersome, or do you enjoy doing it? I could picture myself getting tired of the updates while being in some far off place I may never return to.

Also, need to complement you on an absolutely amazing report. I've been following for, I want to say, a year? Everyday I come back in here and check for an update. As others have mentioned, I also notice your english is becoming a bit more broken in your updates; I'm guessing this is because you've been away from the language for so long, much as a New Yorker will pick up a Texas drawl after living there for a while. Anyways, ride safe, and thanks again!

Thanks for the concerns guys. I had meds when I had the attack. After 5 days or so I was back to normal. I don't like taking meds unless I have to. This was the first (and hopefully only/last) time its happened. I'm hoping the diet will do the trick. I also have to make sure I keep hydrated. I know that played a major role.

I always wondered but never asked: how are the muscles doing on a rtw? Are you doing any exercices on a regular basis? Since there is little walking I suppose? How are your abs and your back doing?

+1

I know I would have wanted to travel and report in the same way, but
when I get home after a 200 mile trip with 7 pictures, I just CAN NOT BE
BOTHERED. I'm too lazy!

That's why Noah'z got so much respect from me, not only for the nutcase
trip, but for keeping up with reporting in that much detail and with so many
shots, even if he lost his beard!
