Green Mountain Rally, Goshen VT

First a quick stop at Kampersville Store for beer

Then setup camp

Live it up to the Snake Mountain Bluegrass Band and partake of newly purchased beer, this rally is pretty cushy, pavillion for the band and fireplace at night, dining hall for club catered meals, and even a few cabins. And plenty of space to spread out.

I broke camp in the morning on Sat though, thunderstorms predicted

The ride on route 53 follows the shore of Lake Dunmore

Downtown Middlebury, did somebody say Subarus

Also a fan of River Rd just off Route 7 past the Lincoln Peak Winery

But cut the riding a bit short today... this needs attention ( has been leaking since Ohio)

And so does this

I think that if I lived where you do, Folkgirl, I'd do a "day trippin' ride report" of going apple picking for an afternoon. That's something I miss from being a kid in the northeast. Fresh squeezed cider, homeade applesauce and pies. And, as a kid - obviously, having my parents actually encourage me to climb trees and get out on a limb to get the good apples that had been passed over due to the diffuculty of getting to them. Big fun as a youngster.

Greatly enjoying your travels. We thank you, thanks for sharing.

I grew up in a little old mill town in Ma. called Northbridge, and you have me homesick. I was all over the state forest on my old Rickman as a kid. My friends and I used to go up to Orange Vt. for a week every year to go fly fishing. I don't think the locals liked us long haired rope smellin' (you all know what I mean) hippies invading their town, but even so they were nice (we were nice back too, believe it or not), respectful, helpful and friendly. That was in the '70s but I'm sure not much has changed in rural Vt.

Great pictures and looks like fun rides! Keep it up! Suscribed.

Cool! I used to play hockey with some dudes that lived there, but I'm drawing blanks on names (old age sucks).

Parents were in town for the car show at the Champlain Expo in Essex Jct., so I met them to check it out. This is the car that they brought. Dad built it for Mom to drive.

Then off for some leaf peeping of my own.
Essex, VT

Fairfax, VT

Waterville, VT

Color was getting better as I headed north

Eden, VT

Route 109 through Eden and Belvidere was great, but time for a coffee break in Johnson, VT

French Hill Rd from Johnson to Morristown Corners is always a nice option

Stowe, VT

Hinesburg, VT ( ahh, home)
