I rode in to camp early Thursday afternoon, to beat the rain and get my tent set up. Rode with John 'Condor Machinist' on some single track. Managed to step off on a switch back. Didn't break anything.

And then Friday rolled in...

Must Keep bike dry...

Saturday was quite a bit better on the weather front. However, many trails were 'snowed out'. Agian riding with CondorMachinist we went for a long loop. Tried to get offroad but we were denied by the snow. We ended up on 58 and had lunch in Tehachapi. Then road thru the rain/snow/fog to Jawbone canyon.

Where we finally found some dirt...

Dirt was just right for roosting...and no dust!

Stopped to shed the rain gear.

A little 'air time'

Passed a group of three riders in Kelso Valley...

Stopped for a photo op at end of dirt section.

Made it back for dinner. Here's the camp mascot....

DON'T SHOOT, I'M NOT A BEAVER!!

Good food, great beer, and good company. Thanks to Gerg and company for a great event. The Blond beer was the kind...
Sunday found me drying out the camp so I can pack it up...

Neighbor across the street getting ready to depart as well...

Home Sunday early afternoon. Bike washed, draining the oil, set to install next upgrade. Looking forward to next event. I'm thinking I'll give a shot at making the Westfest in Colorado.

Thanks agian Gerg and crew. Was a wet and wild one. Put me down for next year :]
Cheers,
Bitwrench

GREAT ride report Bitwrench!!!

Thank you, now lets see some more video, we know your holding out. ;]
That single track stuff is FUN. I want to try it on a smaller bike. I may have to re-purpose my supermoto. Picking up a 300lb + bike could get old real fast...
Cheers

WARPED IX is ON!

WARPED IX - Post Apocalypse! is ON!

Main Announcement post just went up in the Annual Rallies Thread

According to some, the Mayan calendar predicts that the world will end on Dec. 21, 2012. At WARPED VIII, we collectively predicted that the Mayan's were wrong. Or, to be more specific, the translators are wrong. So as we sat around the fire in the snow and rain we went ahead and planned WARPED IX and voted the theme as "Post Apocalypse!"

Be there!

Yeti gives them two-thumbs up.
$650 pants, do they ride the bike without you? A KLIM pants and jacket costs more than my most recent DR purchase, but you will look cool.
