Fantastc!

Hey Matt!

Fantastic narration and pictures of your country! You should be working for the Scottish tourist organisation!

It reminds me when i was studing for my degree in Stirling Uni back in 1994-95. What a place! I've visited some places then, but i think it deserves a long bike trip again. I hope it will happen soon.

Thanks again! Keep well!

Thanks man. Got offered one of the jobs I was going for. I'm not overly keen on it but beggars can't be choosers. Start end of the month so probably a bit too late to see me out riding much this year.

Aye it shows its face every now and then. Pity the rain is starting to win the battle though! 1000 miles of motorway or are you getting to enjoy yourself at all?

They are Macarons. Small, chewy things. In this case they were chocolate and caramel flavoured. They weren't there for long.

Congrats on landing a job. May it be a stepping stone.
At least now you can stock gas money for future explorations.

Winter is well and truly here. If I get out on the bike again this year I'll be surprised.

I had access to better internet last week so I uploaded one of the videos I made earlier in the year (from this ride report)

I started filming shortly after my close encounter with a car on the wrong side of the road. You'll be able to sense my nervousness. Here it is:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm also going to cheat and post another few photos from a car trip on Sunday up to Glen Coe. I considered taking the bike but as I was getting up there for the sunrise, I would be riding mostly in the dark. Between the possibility of ice on the road and darkness I decided not to risk it.

I did get very jealous when I saw a couple of bikers up there though. What a great day for a ride it was.

I even had a close encounter with some deer when I pulled into a layby. They're obviously not afraid of humans up there. At times they were 10 feet away from the car.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So it's unlikely I'll have more photos up from rides but I still have videos to upload so hopefully I'll get them up soon.

Your photos make me ache to go back to your country. I have been there twice, have driven through Glen Coe and other beautiful spots, but I have always had the misfortune of doing so in a rented piece of terrible French car!
