Lightest street legal stock dual sport?

I'm curious to know: What is the lightest street-legal stock dual sport available in the US? Say model years 2005-2012 to include used ones?

Thanks to everyone on this thread, here is what I found:

Yamaha XT225 --> 238 lbs. (dry) Source link
KTM 350 EXC-F --> 241.4 lbs. (ready to ride, no gas) Source link
Husqvarna TE250 --> 246 lbs. (dry) Source link
Husqvarna TE310 --> 247 lbs. (dry) Source link
Beta 350RS --> 247 lbs. (dry) Source link
KTM 500 EXC --> 250.2 lbs. (ready to ride, no gas) Source link
KTM 450 EXC --> 253.1 lbs. (ready to ride, no gas) Source link
KTM 530 EXC --> 253.1 lbs. (ready to ride, no gas) Source link
Honda CRF230L --> 267 lbs. (wet) Source link
Suzuki DR200SE --> 278 lbs. (wet) Source link
Yamaha TW200 --> 279 lbs. (wet) Source link
Kawasaki Super Sherpa --> 282.1 lbs. (wet) Source link
Yamaha XT250 --> 291 lbs. (wet) Source link
Kawasaki KLR250 --> 293 lbs. (wet) Source link
Kawasaki KLX250S --> 297.7 lbs. (wet) Source link
Yamaha WR250R --> 298 lbs. (wet) Source link

Above numbers are OEM claims. See this thread "What do the really weigh"

I rememebr looking into KTM's a while back. They seem to be the lightweight title winners. IIIRC a 450exc is something like 240lbs.

Interesting, thanks.

Looks like the XT225 is still the lightest.

Sorry for responding without looking up the data, but I think the 2012 KTM350EXC, might be one of the lightest
available street legeal bikes in the US.

With the 2012 Husky TE310 not too far behind.

Well here are the dry weights of my three favorite street legal D/S bikes, or should I say dirt bikes.
Guess they really would not be in the same catagory as the other Dual Sport Bikes.

2012 KTM350EXCF 241.1 lbs
2012 Beta RS350 247 lbs
2012 Husky TE310 247 lbs

Thanks, updated again. The 2012 KTM 350EXC-F does not seem street legal ... ? Not sure ...

Are those claimed or owner weighed numbers?

I think that XT225 is closer to the 250lbs of the DR200. Those bikes are as close as any two others could be. I'd not be surprised if they weighed more than the KTM 450EXC when wet/ready to ride either.

All numbers are OEM claimed, per their own website.

The KTM 500EXC is about 5lbs (if that) heavier and only about $200 more expensive than the 350. They shaved a lot of weight off the 530 engine (the 500 is still the same 510.9cc as the 530 and older 5xx bikes) for 2012. I think it worked out to 8lbs off the engine.

Is the KTM 500EXC street legal?
