Hey Owen, is that one yours (you wanted an R, right?) or you're just taking advantage of being a KTM dealer?
Anyway congrats, I'm liking the standard model in orange more and more

Yes - definitely better than the 990 - work has meant that most of my miles on the 1190 so far have all been at night and in the freezing cold !

One of the tough parts of my job is running in our demo bikes - a lot of talk about fuel consumption on the 1190 and this pic was taken after my ride home last night - 55.1 MPG (UK) - no high speed stuff, mainly urban riding with the odd short blast up to 70 mph or so/

Starting to fall in love and i have yet to see one in the flesh. That video certainly did not help my willpower. I think the guys offended by that video should stick to the pipe and slipper BMW's

I have been using the Outex tubeliss system with Woody's 19"/17"wheels with no problems. The it is super easy to install and you can find the Outex kits on EBay.

Comment taken. Don't try to mimic that 'exuberant' riding style too closely,
I've seen too many, now get out and get that bike.
I can see that 1190 pass by the Multiblabla on the sales charts.

I wish there was a base, base standard model. FI being the the extent of techno gadgetry and for around $11 grand.

Did you use the 21/18 kit?

Have any US vendors/suppliers picked this up yet?

thanks.

You should watch (old) KTM promo video's. If there is one manufacturer that has HOOLIGAN written all over their promo vids it's KTM.

Now back to the 1190...these things are selling like hotcakes over here, I am afraid it will be the new GS

As I already mentioned, I hope those riders do not die! I have to admit that I did some similar stupid riding with my old Hayabusa. Thanks goodness I did not have a fast bike like that in my teens or 20s as I very well might have killed myself. I agree that KTMs are total hooligan bikes. That's why I have two of them! Still having an internal debate about the new 1190. Great bike and great engine. As good as my 690 off road? Not a chance. As good as my 990 Supermoto R on the pavement? Probably, due to the power, but I stopped chasing big power years ago. If I do end up selling my Supermoto and getting an Adventure R it will mostly be because I just want something new. Which is the reason most of us get new bikes anyway. Still, the Supermoto R is lighter than the adventure and a bit more of a nutters bike for urban fun despite the lower power. I am not too keen on doing much off road riding on a heavy adventure bike. My 690 is way better and easier to ride and a lot more crash worthy. So at the moment I am content to have two more focused bikes instead of one all arounder. The obvious solution is to have many many bikes, but the garage only fits two!
