Nice topcase and very nice bike. Congrats.

You guys with a 1190, the short pipe between the exhaust can (Akra in this case) and the catalytic converter, is it welded to the converter or bolt on?

Nice!
Questions:
Do the hinges intrude on the passenger?

Is there a backpack or similar cushion the passenger can lean against?

Say holy I'm getting old! I'm totally not the target audience for that type of commercial (watched the first video).
Love what KTM is doing, very successfully expanding market share. The 1190 is very close, finished 2nd. in a recent 'Motorrad' test.

Here is another quote by tall guy. "can't wait to get the new boxer"

That explains the old man attitude!

Oh how I wish they put the 1190 in the superduke. Guess I'll have to wait for the new one and hope it makes it over the pond.

No attitude I think at least, maybe staying alive?
I'm not bound by some manufacturer ideology if you know what I mean. When it comes to "chain bikes" the KTM would be at the top of my list. The 1190 is the first KTM I would buy, much less off-road heavy with the 19/17" wheel, reduced suspension travel compared to 990, large tank, great seat, much improved instruments, SMT looks, best engine.

I find my Superduke very satisfying, but yes, i would buy the 1190 Superduke just because it would have more power, Do i need more power? No, But more is always better Right?
I used to have a 950SM and sold it for the Superduke because it did everything better and had more power.
And that is the reason i also sold my 950 Adventurer, Because of the new 1190 Adventurer, I miss it,but the new 1190 will be a better bike.

Hi KMC1, No problem with the hinges of the topcase for the passenger, they're relatively flat and don't feel sharp when leaning against them.
Didn't notice any cushion for the Touratech case in the Touratech catalogue. I've had the high metal topcase on the BMW 1200 GSA with similar hinges and never had any complaints.

Haven't driven the R with topcase and pilion yet (today it's snowing here) so no complaints yet :-)
I'll keep you posted
