I am now looking for more feedback on my dilemma especially from those who have test ridden both bikes.

P.S. Title should read BMW R1200GS LC

Do you like to race? KTM

I also have the "pssshittt" when i open the tank but without petrol everywhere, just the sound.
This arrive particulary with hot temperatures.
This sound plus fuel vapor probably confirm that a fuel line isn't ok, i'm going to have a look today.
Thanks guys for your help ;)

I hope it doesn't boil the petrol :) cause the engine works on high temp.

Yes, i can smell more fuel vapor with actual summer temperatures, however it's not a satisfactory explanation for me, there is a problem

Heavy vibration through the bars

As per my last had heavy vibes through the trottle hand, put on the KTM Progressive Handlebar Damping System... It works but you know it's still in the background. What beats me is the dealer checked all the engine mount torques, etc said everything was OK test rode bike, etc. But did not ballance the front wheel as suggested by many on here. Back ashore soon and need to pick up luggage from dealer will make sure they ballance front and witness same. Someone joining brought a Mororcycle News with them a Jurno on same has a 1190R on loan and reconed he went through same most of factory fitted weights had fallen off.
Respect to Knarley riders who pointed out same previous.

Someone needs to start a "what to make sure of on your new 1190" thread and keep updating the list in the opening post as experience brings more dealer errors/forgetfulness to the fore.

That way new buyers can go with a checklist and avoid all the crap.

Hopefully.

That fuel smell problem I used to have on 990 too; honestly speaking didn't feel it much so far with 1190. :-)))) maybe my concentration is on somewhere else :-)))

yeah its not really hot here atm, so no fuel smell..

Although i did my first tank of fuel finally, I only got 268km before the reserve/low fuel warning comes on..

To the people who have gotten 320km before reserve, have you tried sports mode? haha

seriously though, was that city riding or a little bit of open road rides?
