In France, KTM created an 1190 adventure forum specially for the owners.
Some KTM people are reading the questions and making answers.
I read that they will make a recall for all the adventure for a side stand exchange.
No word about air filter...

apparently KTM are still working on a permanent fix, possibly an extra filter in the air vent.

From the German forum I'm gathering that the whole side stand is being redesigned and will be replaced after many complaints about repeated broken springs and unsteady parking of bike with panniers

I couldn't help but notice the suggestion to replace the stock air filter with a High Performance DNA air filter. If this involves the installation of a 'K&N type filter' this would be a very poor choice in dirt and dusty environments as K&N filters are notorious for not filtering out fine dust and silt very well.

Hi there!

Have any of you had an oil leak at the end of the oilfillertube (attachment to the engine block)? Have tried to tighten the screws, but it's not enough. Do you have any idea?

Also wonder what is the small hole on the rear cylinder, looks like something is missing? see the pictures.

Sorry for my bad English Google translation

I read this lots of times but I never read it directly written by a DNA filter owner. Not saying isn't truth but recently I was in the market looking for an airfilter, read a lot about DNA and only found happy customers (the kind of people who actually check his airbox to see if the filter is working) Don't know about K&N
Anyway, if the stock filter seats poorly and leave dust enter the cleanside, and the DNA seats and seals fine the choice is easy...

Hi,

On the rear cylinder, your picture shows the pollution control system and the hole is "normal", there was on my 990 SD.
For the oil, I think you should have a look at the O-ring which is here ;)

I don't think this has been posted before.

I found this site (forum) in south Africa.

The guy has developed a twin exhaust system and soft luggage panniers.

Full thread here

There are some good farkles within the forum too.

Yeah your right. I think in his thread he says that they are going to produce the exhaust system and the luggage rack but the rack will be black.

Just as well really
