Day Trippin' with grand enduros around Slovenia

Hello!
Most people dont know that beautifull country Slovenia even exist...
Manny even change the name Slovenia for Slovakia.
And rarely they know where Slovenia is located.
Here are some facts and info about Slovenia, make sure you check Multimedia also.
Enjoy:
http://www.slovenia.info/en/About-Sl...veniji=0&lng=2

To remember it better, let me tell you that Akrapovič exhausts are made in Slovenia!
http://www.akrapovic.com/motorcycle-exhaust/

And this is the country I was born also.
Its a beautifull country, with great landscapes, but unfortunately enduro riding is not very welcome here, and riding in national parks is strongly forbidden and penalized.
So we ride where we can, when we can...

We like to expore hidden, less known areas and explore it.
We are in search for great views and conquering mountain peaks.
But me and my other riding coleagues are a bit strange about it, because we try to do terrains that are meant to be ridden with cross bikes and we are doing it with our heavy enduros.
There is also our name from - Grand Enduro Slovenia.
We like to do daily trips, or weekends around Slovenia, sometimes even more.

Some of you already saw some of our longer trips such as Enduromania, Montenegro trip and Tunisia - off road all the way down. Those longer trips abroad were described in separate ride reports.
But our short enduro chill outs form Slovenia will from now on be reported here.
So if interested - subscribe.

Let me show you some pics from last two years of enduro trippin around our beautiful country - Slovenia!

Places we visit with our bikes:

Sometimes if we do few days enduro trip, we sleep in woods. Its a great experience making shelter, fire, food...

It is nice to sleep outside with a great view on the walley beneath

Mountain tops

And to see all that we avoid good roads, so often we go through endurance hell - or is it heaven...?

Welding broken parts from last trip and wrenching our bikes for the next trip is also a great event in the backyard with the barbecue and beer!

At the end of the day we deserve great food and vine.
Than we talk about daily happening with great enthusiasm.

You Slovenian's have a beautiful country and really know how to explore on a motorcycle! Thanks for the photos and reminder of how cool that country is.

Are you allowed to ride motorbikes anywhere you want in Slovenia? I heard Romania has very little restrictions.

Thanks for posting this cool Slovenia ride Ni3ous
That's some rugged mountainous country, looks like great riding!

What a collection of motorcycles too! we don't see the Ténéré, Transalp, Africa Twin in North America. I see a rare model KLR650 there too.

Good to see them all upside-down in a ditch, means you're riding hard

Bryn we have issues with legal riding here. Thats why its difficukt for us finding great terrains without disturbing hikers.
In national parks we dont ride at all. But that are the nicest places. We cannot do it because strict law and penalties.

Romania, Albania and Montenegro are great countries for enduro riding, because there is no restrictions and great landscape. Bosnia is also great, but there is too manny landmines around. Too dangerous, really.

And some more from our previous trips around Slovenia...
This one is from last week.
we went on terrain after rain shower, so there was no hikers outside.
Perfect for us.

Ata that bike is Kawasaki ER5. Owner was quite keen on it. He has now also KLR for such riding.

This ones are from our last weekend trip.
We went from Ljubljana to the seaside trying to ride on the mainanance gravel roads by the highway.
It took us 4 hours of speed riding to get to the seaside.

Next day we followed river Dragonja to the way back home. Its the river, that is also on the national border with Croatia.
We had some difficult stone river crossings...

Later that day we were riding over mountains again, between rain showers. But it was nice scenario...

We waited one light shower to pass under the bridge:

I was lucky enough to ride in Slovenia a few years ago. Amazing place to spend a couple of weeks on a bike.
Here's a photo that was taken in Slovenia, one of my first adventure rides - not the best bike for the conditions - light rain, slippery roads.
