Wink Looking for riding buddy in NW okla

I've chatted with oklahomaklr (famous on YouTube) who lives in Ponca city. But that is all. When the weather breaks I'd like to have a few friends down for weekend rides. Can't believe I'm the only dual sport rider in Enid,Ok. But maybe so

hey joe

I use a cheap tablet and have several e mails. I did email you back. May not have gone thru? Anyway, I was just out riding here in town. Got flippn cold.
Have you ever ridden at the little Sahara? Is the sand hard on bikes? Was thinking of going on 2/22 with the little Dakar guys.

I am in west Okla. near Leedey, about 100 miles from you. There are not many riders out here. I am at week 5 after knee replacement, so will be awhile before riding again. I hope to ride part of the tat later in the year, and enjoying reading Okla.-Ark. rides. Probably a little slower rider than most folks. Anyways, there is at least one rider out here.

I used to ride out there a lot on my motocross bike. I would always put on an old chain and sprockets, and old plastic. I would say that the sand is hard on the bikes but it is worth the experience. In my opinion, it's the most fun riding there is.

We had 8 or 9 bikes and a couple 4 Wheelers out there at little Dakar last year. I don't know of any issues the sand caused to mechanicals or plastic. I get more plastic damage woods riding. Come on out and have some fun.

Highest point inOklahoma sadly you are not supposed to ride your bike up

Nice area, one day when I'm doing better I'll make the hike up to the top.
