OK--Its only three months till the ride and you want to schedule your vacation time. So I looked back and traditionally the ride has been the 4th weekend in October. Last year was the 3rd weekend because we had a vote. Don't remember why--we just did. If you want to vote on it, one of you inmates has got to set up the poll. I can't because i'm not bi-polar

I personally vote for October 27-28th, the traditional 4th weekend. The other option would be October 20-21st.
What say you inmates?

Okay, I added a poll to the thread but understand regardless of how you vote this ain't democracy in action--RoadDad has the final say of when it's gonna happen so deal with it. He's doing the work of laying it out and deserves the respect of making the final decision. If he wants to listen to your opinion, peachy. If not, well with age comes the right to ignore people who irritate you...

Is 27-28 going to be Halloween weekend? That's a pretty big family weekend anymore. We have a good time.
20-21 might be better even though I voted whenever.

A bit of research showed that the HNF ride was held on the last full weekends of October in:

'07--27-28
'08--25-26
'09--24-25

In '10 it was held on the second to last weekend, Oct. 23-24 but I can't remember why we didn't do on the 30-31--maybe Halloween was an issue?

Of course last year it was held mid-month on the 15-16.

If you are still accepting votes, and if you'll accept a vote from a new Inmate who has yet to ride with your group, mine is for the 20-21st.

Does anyone want to repeat last years' route (or any route folks think was particularly better than the others) sometime between now and then?

There's always people going out riding. Amy and I usually wind up on sections of one HNF ride or another.
Keep an eye on the Indiana ride thread and join in!!
