Wicked My virgin post. Introduction and my ch150 powered moped

Well.. my first post on a forum i have been browsing for years...sigh ok..

Well, my name is Mike and i live in Michigan. I dont care for fair weather Harley riders, I dont like punk kids on crotch rockets and i ride scooters. I found this site reading about Doug on the around the world ride. That inspired me.
so I might be picking up a pc800 bathtub ratter or a 600vstrom in a week or two.
Who knows..

Too many projects.
But here are the latest messes i have going.
besides the car garbage i wont get into.

sooooo, Its been a ultra slow progression but i got it all wrapped up a few days back.
Ive had this scooter project happening for awhile.
why not share.

first off.
WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS!! I mean, we fabbed mounts, I did all the wiring, radiator. it was a big job.
No joke. I mean to hack out a beater would be one thing but i wanna ride this.
It boogies tho. It will sink the speedo needle all the way in two blocks.(70+)
The biggest issue was the stator going from some 2stroke wussy stuff to a 11 pole monster!!
Its heavy and likes fuel, But fast and cool.

Then the black one is back in my hands and i have a 47mm bbk coming for it since the chick i sold it too scattered the jug letting some fool ride it. My guess is they revved it too high and it spit the wrist pin clip..blah..
whatever. PICS.

I like it! And welcome!

Sounds cool! Yea them CH 150 motors, if you keep oil up, and change it 1-2K with a good synthetic it'll go forever and ever.

And yea, I can only imagine the fab going into that! I hated getting my motor back in my Elite 150 the 1st time I done changed it without a jack! Can only imagine getting that to fit! But it came out pretty badass! Have fun!

That's awesome, these Moped's are addictive.. I just watched my buddy (Harley rider) flip my 87' CH150
Broke my mirror... Love it when people under estimate what they can do cuz they are a "moped"

Thanks for the props on the scooter. I love the thing. I been riding it to work which is about a 30 mile one way. Its fun.

Sooo, I. Started reading about Vermin from Michigan and his pc800 that was left in alaska? Well my buddy has a couple of pc800's that are kind of beat up. Sorta ugly and missing some superficial plastic. That's my next route I'm thinking.
I'll get some more pics up of the rides this week.
I'm also looking for people that want to ride in Michigan. Anybody in the lansing area?

What kind of jackass spends all his time building a hot rod scooter?

My kinda jackass. Great work! nothin better than the looks that something like that gets from "normal" people.
