Saddlemen seat for the 950 se

Hi all... anybody got a chance to check out the saddlemen seat for the SE yet? Kinda surprised no one is talking about it.... ordered one last night... I guess if no one else has picked one up I will do a review on it when it shows up.... pretty excited about a better seat for this bike... I hate the stocker... and cant stop riding it long enough to send my seat to renazco...

I watched the video they made & to be honest, I need to read some user reviews before I buy one.

I'd really like to sit on one first.

road test for the saddlemen seat

Well the fed ex guy showed up in my driveway today with a humoungous box for me... inside was a very carefully packed saddlemen seat for my KTM 950 SE.... The fit and finish of the seat is excellent. I really like the metal tabs under the seat (I had some damage to my plastic tabs on the stocker)... The main part of the seat is made of some pretty cool suede... the back part is heavy duty seat material...I think i will use the d ring hooks for strapping things down.... the twin gel ridges or whatever you want to call em look a little funny but feel really good on your bum... they dont seem to feel like you might expect... feels more like you are sitting in a cupped seat??
Overall the seat is about a million and one times better than the stocker... I took my bike out and flogged it on some rough dirt and highway for a couple of hours tonight and my but feels great.... the seat gives you the feeling of sitting a little more "in" the bike, rather than on "it".. I like the bum stop feel... I bought the standard height seat... Being 6'5" I didnt want to lower the seat height at all and the height feels about the same as the stocker....

the seat still is not as cushy as the leather corbin on my BMW1150 GS adventure... but it is easily the best option avail for a SE... I have never ridden a bike with a renazco seat... (guess I dont like not being able to ride the bike for a month while the seat was gone) but the renazco is going to cost you over 500 bucks when you factor in shipping... and you still have the kinda weak seat pan... the saddlemen cost me 322 total including shipping... I believe it is a hell of a deal... I have over 3k in upgrades on my SE (safari, rekluse, blackdog, fmf cans, rox risers, and a bunch of other bits and pieces)... and I wouldnt hesitate to spend 322 on this seat... the skidplate cost more than the seat did...
anyway there is my 2 cents... I have pics of my bike and the seat if anyone wants a look...

What is the weight compared to the stock seat? I know the Corbin is quite heavier due to the metal seat pan.

I didnt weigh the seats but it was easy to tell the saddlemen seat is a little heavier... not too worried about it though... still talking about a 400 lb bike

I just ordered one for my 990 Adventure from Amazon for $322.56 shipped. I'll write up a review in a week or so once I have it.

Just was wanting to keep my 400 pound bike. Not make it a 500 pound bike.
