Thanks!
Hey everyone who's following us...Thanks!!! We're having a blast down here. This trip is a bit more stressful than our pre-run last August. It's to be expected though. We've met so many awesome people down here. Everyone is just so helpful.
I just wanted to send a quick note about our re-running. We finally finalized our plan (again). We think it's solid. But we'll definitely have to modify it on the fly as issues come up. We had a homeless guy driving a Rascal bless my bike in an Arizona grocery store parking lot 2 weeks ago...so I think we'll be good. I want to share our final race plan with everyone. I hope it doesn't change again...but it likely will. We think it's a solid plan though. I'm not sure when we'll have wifi again so please be patient for updates. I'm taking daily notes on my hone and will compile a big ride report when I get back for those who are interested. Again...thank all of you for keeping up with our thread. It's so humbling to know so many people are on-board with our cause. Here's the (final) race plan!! Brett start in Ensenada! On Highway 3 where the dirt meets the hard ball in Ojos. (Approx RM 30) John SR's truck: Brett off bike / Ed on bike. John SR: takes Brett to Boreggo at the beginning of the San Filepe sand whoops. Ed off bike / Brett on bike. John SR: takes Ed to Dump Road. Brett off bike / Ed on bike. John SR: takes Brett to Old Puerto citas Rd. where it meets Hwy 5 Ed off bike / Brett on bike Trey and Scott: sleep in John SR 's house down south. Trey takes Scott to Cocos on the 15th at approx 0800. At Cocos: Brett off bike / Scott on bike Brett and Trey from Cocos will be chasing Elvis to Santa Rita with Scott's bike for parts. Allan and Jerry: (In Allan's truck) stage at hard ball road before Bay of LA Scott off bike / Allan on bike Fred: Take Chris to San Ingnasio Allan off bike / Chris on bike Airborne Andy OR Hup: take John to Insurgentes (Approx RM 898) Chris off bike / John on bike Scott and Jerry: (In Allan's truck) drive to Santa Rita (Aprox RM 1000) John off bike / Scott on bike to finish All trucks link up at Santa Rita and convoy to La Paz for finish. Beer and tacos!!!

After 10 months of planning, tomorrow is finally race day!!! I've got nothing left to do now but wait. 10 months of non-stop planning, preparing, and coordinating and I can't believe it's finally here. I want to thank everyone for their support. The support we've received from the community down here has been inspiring. Even some of the Class 1 Trophy Trucks and Pro-Buggies are running our "Race for the Wounded" stickers on their trucks. This has been a monumental undertaking.
The team had one final dinner together last night in Ensenada and today we're all spread out down the peninsula at our rider change locations. Each rider with his chase ruck driver. Brett should be off the line around 0645. As long as he doesn't forget to turn it on, the SPOT tracker will be tracking us in real time down the peninsula. I'm off to bed now but I wanted to say thanks again for everyone's support. And here's the real time-SPOT tracker link again. http://share.findmespot.com/shared/f...y00qYdQxkmon03
